Good news! After 25 years since its original run, Yu Yu Hakusho will be back this 2018. Known as Ghost Fighter in the Philippines, Yusuke Urameshi (colloquially known as Eugene), Hiei (Vincent), Kurama (Denise) and Kazuma Kuwabara (Alfred) invaded the Philippine primetime television and no one expected that it will give the teleseryes of ABS-CBN a good competition.

Aside from the fact that the show was one of the most watched anime series of all time, it also influenced the generation of young TV viewers.

Written and illustrated by Yoshihiro Togashi and directed by Noriyuki Abe and co-produced by Fuji Television, Yomiko Advertising, and Studio Pierrot, it ran from 1992 to 1994 with 112 episodes.

The new animation is going to be packaged with the 25th anniversary Blu-ray release of the classic 1992 anime. Shueisha has not revealed yet the format or content of the new animation.

Yu Yu Hakusho (Ghost Fighter) was considered as one of the most successful and most popular shonen of the 90's and the Dark Tournament was also considered as one of the best tournament arc ever.
